My Love

It's been a LOOOONG while since I've blogged, and on this stormy night it just seems like the thing to do!  And I've been thinking a lot about one particular thing lately, my marriage and my husband.

He's such a goofball, one of my favorite things about him!

Believe when I say, we're not perfect.  I'm not perfect, he's not perfect, and we don't have the perfect marriage.  What we do have is an incredible friendship and a deep love for each other.  We don't go to church every Sunday (in fact Matt works almost all of them), but we are both very grounded in our faith.  For me, this makes it easy to believe that God brought us together and that He is rooting for us all along the way.  I've heard many people say "marriage is hard, it takes a lot of work", and although I knew that going in, I'm not sure I realized how much work and how different it is from dating.  It IS work, HARD work sometimes, and other times it's so easy and so great.  I know that all the work is worth it though, because I know God wouldn't have lead us down this path together if it weren't. 

As I look around our living room, I see many pictures of us, lots of them from our wedding day.  To me, those pictures are a constant reminder of the vow we made to God and to ourselves, and there is nothing more beautiful than that!
